If I could award less than a star I would. How has this place stayed in business over 20 years????? The food was horrible, cold, under cooked, unimaginative, and the place hasn't had a stitch of work done in years. The shopping center redid the outside so we mistakenly thought maybe the restaurant had ungraded. Do yourselves a favor, buy a wok and stay home!!!!

Worst. Meal. Ever. Oh my gosh. It was terrible. Let me say, I didn't get sick (thank god) but this food was seriously subpar. This was my first time here, I thought, "wow, this business has been here forever, it must be worth it". Nope. It's not. I think the allure of going there would be the bar, it looks very nice, but skip the food. Btw, the service was friendly and attentive.

Pretty awful actually. Ordered general tso's chicken combination platter with fried rice. Should be the one thing that it's easiest to get right but it was completely bland and the fried rice was like none I had ever seen and tasted awful.

Don't know where to begin... Bartender David ATF We enjoy his company and service. His shift starts at 5:00. We got attacked by the sever and the wife's owner with in minutes before we sat down and waited for a few minutes until David was settled in. We realized when we pay by CC and add the tip in, the owner's wife must realize how much gratuity we pay. No more I will pay in CASH! Which we did! David Stay True Little Rebel!

This is a classic chinese restaurant, the decor is as it was when they opened in 1980 something, classic. The wait staff is terrific, the water was refilled, the tea was refreshed, and the wet naps, yes wet naps were given. Our order was taken quickly. One of our party ordered Shrimp and Lobster Sauce, Boston style, we also shared a Veggie Moo Shu, Buddhas Delight, dumpling sauce on the side. Since it was a lunch special, we also ordered Egg Drop soups, Vegetable Spring Rolls, and an Egg Roll. The food was excelled, just as we hoped, the egg drop soups was silky and clean, the Moo Shu was crisp and had strong flavor. The spring rolls were light and crispy with a sweet filing. The egg roll was good, a little heavier then many of the outer shells, the filling comparable to the spring roll. The highlight was the Shrimp and Lobster sauce, if you are looking for a good example try this out. At the and of the meal, a bowl of pineapple chunks, fortune cookie, a thank you, and polite come again. I would recommend Sun Hai Tokyo to Yelpers looking to recapture a bygone dining experience, unchanged since 1980 something.

We just went for lunch today and our experience was horrible. We both ordered bento boxes and they took about 40 minutes to bring out. The tuna was probably the worst tuna I've ever tried. Both my girlfriend and I took two bites out of the dish and then paid our bill and left immediately. Not only is the food bad but the atmosphere was as well.

My kids, wife and I ate here one night for dinner and we all got sick. My wife and I the worst. Doctor told me food poisoning was the reason. I DO NOT recommend this place. To top it off the food was mediocre at best, but service was great.

Have been coming here for years. Great place for small selection of Chinese buffet and some California rolls. You get a soup and ice cream for free but not part of the buffet. Buffet ends at 2, so do not dare arrive after 1 of you want only the best buffet. Otherwise it tends to be scarce and sometimes not the freshest, but ALWAYS DELICIOUS! Promise. Haven't tried their regular menu yet, maybe someday.

Very mediocre food. Sweet and attentive service person, but it was Olive Garden level food quality. Lots of cheap touches in the decor, too, indicate that this is NOT a restaurant that places high value on quality of ingredients or was it well prepared.

Classic old school restaurant with linen table cloths and napkins, hot tea, bowl of those crunchy noodles to snack on. And the food was really good too, especially the sushi. Oh yeah, full bar too :)

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
